The Problem

Every child, in every community, deserves a good public school.

That means a school that is clean, safe and accessible. It means students have the staff, transportation and supports they need to participate fully in their education. And it means families and communities know when those basic standards are not being met.

Parents and kids across Nova Scotia see every day what happens when there are not enough resources to meet standards: classrooms get dirty, students go without the supports they need, the learning environment is disrupted, and some kids don’t even make it to class because their bus run has been cancelled.

Parents and community members across the province are asking every Regional Centre for Education to sign the Good Schools Guarantee.
